Member Towns

The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is a collective nickname used to describe the region made up of Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia Counties, which are located in the northeastern-most part of the state. Because of its beauty and rurality, it’s referred to by many as “the Kingdom,” but here, we call it “the NEK.”

Effective August 16, 2024, NEK Broadband & CVFiber have united resources, expertise, and a shared commitment to deliver exceptional high-speed internet services to our 71 communities. Working together, we will be better able to support economic growth, community development, and digital equity across the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont.

The merged organization will combine the 51 municipal members of NEK and the 20 municipal members of CVF into a single group of 71 municipal members, all of whom will be represented on the Governing Board as specified in the Bylaws. Two Governing Board members (a primary and an alternate) are appointed annually by their respective Select Board to represent their town.
