Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee NEKCV’s day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and internal controls. This role is critical in managing multiple public funding streams, infrastructure investments, and the financial processes of a fast-growing company. This position will also manage the Staff Accountant roll. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in nonprofit or governmental accounting, and comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Project Manager

The ideal candidate for this Project Manager position will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, possessing a comprehensive understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and/or a background in construction management processes. This role will manage broadband construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within the allocated scope and budget. The selected candidate will have a proven track record and extensive knowledge of best practices in project tracking and management.

Communications Manager

The Communications Manager will be responsible for managing and executing communications across multiple channels, including media relations, social media, internal communications, and public relations. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of the broadband industry. This position will also serve as Program Coordinator to lead our Community Connect program, which aims to bridge the digital divide by increasing access to broadband and equipping individuals with essential online skills. As part of this role you will work with the public out of a Groton Community Hub space. This role will help evaluate, and potentially develop, the organizations role in the design, participation and/or implementation of initiatives that connect community members in Groton and South Ryegate with digital education, training resources, and support systems. This will be up to 50% of the job.

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting in the overall accounting operations of the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

NEKCV is seeking a sharp, tech savvy individual to play a supporting role in the organization as either an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant. This position will support the five person management team. This position serves a key role in keeping a geographically-diverse organization running smoothly. The successful candidate for this position will be someone who embraces the NEKCV mission and thrives in a fast paced, “startup” environment. Because NEKCV is hiring for multiple positions at the moment, we have the flexibility for this position to embrace the skill sets of the employee hired. This role also has the potential for independent projects and participation in the strategic direction of the organization. We DO NOT expect to find someone that can do all of the roles identified below, the job description will be modified upon hiring to fit the combined needs of the organization and the skills of the individual.

Warehouse / Material Handler

NEK Broadband is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler. The successful candidate for this position will be someone who embraces the NEK Broadband mission and thrives in a fast paced, “startup” environment, while bringing the organizational skills necessary to ensure that the construction teams have the necessary materials and equipment, while working safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Material Handler must be able to be licensed on a forklift, will be responsible for material handling daily tasks, assisting management with daily inventory, and assisting with the deployment of materials to our contractors.
